Recently we saw a report from Strategy Analytics, suggesting Google Home Mini to lead the smart speaker race worldwide in Q2 2018. Now, according to IDC , it looks like Amazon is leading the race in Q2 2018 in India. The race to 5G was already but now it has got an official seal of approval from the world’s most ‘powerful man’. US president Donald Trump, as per a report by CNBC, announced various initiatives to boost 5G networks. Trump said that, “the race to 5G is on and America must win.” The US president further said, “To accelerate and incentivize these investments, my administration is freeing up as much wireless spectrum as needed. We are removing regularity barriers to the buildout of networks. The FCC is taking very bold action, bolder than they’ve ever taken before, to make wireless spectrum available.” Trump revealed that 92 5G markets will be ready in the US by the end of the year. If that happens, US will be ahead of South Korea which, according to CNBC, remains on track to get 48 markets live.
