Ever since Pokemon was confirmed to be coming to Nintendo Switch during Nintendo’s presentation at E3 2017 there have been plenty of rumors around what form the game will take. Nintendo is trying to attract new players into the Pokemon universe, and what better way to do that other than launching a new game. Pokemon Quest is an action RPG (role-playing game) where players control a team of cube-shaped Pokemon, Minecraft-style, in search of treasure on Tumblecube Island.Developer Game Freak promises easy-to-use controls and “a completely new way to play Pokemon.” Also, players will be able to use the items they get from expeditions to befriend more Pokemon or make their own Pokemon stronger. In the end, it's the power of the whole team that counts, so you'll have to make sure that you cook up the right dishes for your Pokemon, team them up appropriately, and upgrade them whenever you have the chance. Moreover, the game will allow players to build base camps and decorate them with items that provide in-game bonuses. The combat is done by repeatedly tapping the screen, so there's that.Pokemon Quest will be available for free on Android and iOS later … [Read more...] about Nintendo to launch new Pokemon Quest game on Android and iOS

GAMEFREAK today announced the news Pokemon fans have been waiting for since E3 last year - details on the games that will bring the franchise to Nintendo Switch for the first time, and two of them are coming out this year. Out today for Switch and coming in June for Android and iOS, Pokemon Quest is a "rambunctious" action RPG for Switch and for smartphones. November 16 will see Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let's Go Eevee released for Switch, with an as-yet-untitled third title coming next year. Pokemon Quest sees players attracting cube-like pixelart Pokemon to their encampment on Tumblecube, then sending them out in squads of three to do battle with wild Pokemon, without the obvious involvement of a trainer. While it will be free to download and play, players can buy Expedition packs on the Nintendo shop which well allow them to attract more Pokemon, get more loot, and give players special Pokemon directly. 2019 will see a more traditional Pokemon game coming to Switch -- … [Read more...] about Pokemon Switch release dates confirmed as THREE new Nintendo Pokemon games announced
The Pokémon franchise is expanding its presence on the Nintendo Switch with two new role-playing games: Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! When both games launch on November 16th, players will get the chance to experience many firsts for the series: couch co-op, mobile integration, and big-screen play, all in the style of Pokémon’s traditional RPGs. It’s a step forward for Pokémon that begins with a look back. The Let’s Go games draw heavily from the handheld Pokémon titles, but they’re also as close to a reboot as the game series has ever come. These new games focus primarily on the Kanto region, home to the original 151 pokémon; the player’s titular partner, whether Pikachu or Eevee, prefers to hang outside of its pokéball, just like in Pokémon Yellow. “These games, Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, we took inspiration from and used Pokémon … [Read more...] about Two new Pokemon RPGs are coming to the Switch this November
POKEMON GO fans can look forward to new Alola forms in a brand new mobile AR game. Here is what you need to know on this unexpected news. What are Pokemon Go Alola forms? They are called Alola forms because they come from the Alolan region in the main series games. But these new Pokemon are the same species only they have grown up under different environmental conditions and so have evolved differently. Pokemon from the Alola region were first seen in 2016 when Pokemon Sun & Moon were released. As well as new creatures, the Alola region contained sun-loving variations of first-generation Pokemon, and it's these that will be initially heading to Pokemon Go very soon.
