That video of a hawk dropping a snake on a BBQ? It’s definitely a hoax

· September 1, 2016 ·

Let's face it, this was always too good to be true. A remarkable video of a hawk flying around, picking up a snake, then dropping onto a family barbeque has gone viral since it was released Tuesday morning. SEE ALSO: A company tried to fool the internet with fake viral videos for 2 years Well, guess what? It's a complete fake. The campaign, now dubbed "Embrace the hunt" was orchestrated by Australian rules football club, Hawthorn, to help launch its Australian Football League (AFL) finals campaign. Facegram FTW! How Facebook Could Actually Improve Instagram

· April 9, 2012 ·

No doubt you'll hear or read this phrase a hundred times Monday: Instagram is over. Facebook bought it and now it's going to ruin it, right? It'll never be the service we knew and loved again. Not so fast, Instagrammers. Before you all rush over to instaport.me or any one of a dozen other apps that will let you download your photos from the service, consider this: the $1 billion Facebook purchase might actually be the best thing that's ever happened to Instagram. I'm not just talking about the nine Instagram employees who suddenly became very wealthy at this morning's surprise all-hands meeting in South Park, San Francisco. I'm talking about the service itself. If you use Instagram, you know that its evolution has been maddeningly slow. If you use Instagram for Android , you probably still bear the scars of the long months you had to wait for the version of the app on your device while iPhone owners sneered. In their own words: What ‘Invasion Day’ means to a rural Indigenous community

· January 26, 2017 ·

In Australia, the date of Jan. 26 goes by many names. "Australia Day" is what you might hear in media and on TV. But for many people, Indigenous or otherwise, it also goes by "Invasion Day" or "Survival Day" and it's often called the " Day of Mourning ." The town of Wilcannia — found in outback north west New South Wales and belonging to the Barkandji people — is made up of around 800 residents with diverse and deep-rooted emotions stirred around this date. Artist and photographer Justine Muller spoke with Aboriginal residents of the town, on Jan. 26, taking their portraits with just her iPhone 7 Plus and asking them in their own words: What does Jan. 26 mean to you?
