Jerry Hildenbrand 20 Nov 2019 0 Source: Android Central John Legere is stepping down as T-Mobile CEO effective May 1, 2020. Legere will remain on the T-Mobile Board of Directors and has stated that he isn't leaving the company and has no intention of moving to troubled start-up WeWork. Either way, next spring T-Mobile will have new leadership. Current company president, board member, and Chief Operating Officer, Mike Sievert, will become the new face behind the company, though Sievert isn't really new. Another thing we know is that Sprint and T-Mobile hope to have their $26.5 billion merger finalized in "early 2020," which is right around the time of Legere's … [Read more...] about How will John Legere’s departure as T-Mobile CEO affect the Sprint merger?

Microsoft challenged a National Security Letter from the FBI last year — and won. The documents relating the case were recently unsealed, making the effort public. The gist is simple: Microsoft received a National Security Letter requesting “basic subscriber information” regarding an “enterprise” customer. That’s how Microsoft characterized the request. For simplicity, the FBI was after the metadata of a large Microsoft client. The letter banned Microsoft from disclosing to anyone that the data had been requested. Microsoft is planning to integrate Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar into its Outlook.com web mail client. The software maker has started testing this integration on some accounts recently, and Twitter user Florian B was able to access it today. After a quick setup process, you simply link a Google Account to an Outlook.com account, and Gmail, Drive documents, and Google Calendar will all be automatically displayed inside Outlook.com on the web. It looks very similar to how Outlook for iOS and Android work, with separate inboxes and side-by-side integration in the calendar. We haven’t been able to test the integration on our own Outlook.com accounts at The Verge, but Florian reveals that it seems to be an early test as you can’t add more than one Google Account, and switching between Outlook and Gmail accounts refreshes the entire page. You can now add your gmail account on https://t.co/qrV9WCmJyQ ! pic.twitter.com/KYvZe6wx7q— Florian B (@flobo09) November … [Read more...] about Microsoft is bringing Gmail, Google Drive, and Calendar to Outlook.com
