Ask any iSheep , they'll talk about the countless innovations every year posted on 26 May 2017, 10:57 1 19. Nopers (unregistered) Apple don't really innovate but that's not what I care about. It looks as if this alleged iPhone that hopefully exists will be the first phone to successfully use a ding reprint sensor under the display (which is huge). If Apple copies the rest from jailbreak developers or Android features then it's just more I can do on my phone and fewer reasons to switch to Android. 29. sgodsell (Posts: 5794; Member since: 16 Mar 2013) There is some rumors that Apple's iPhone 8 will have some AR capabilities. Finalflash (Posts: 3718; Member since: 23 Jul 2013) Well obviously it will be a good screen, it's being produced by Samsung and they're the top of the OLED game right now. The fanboys will just repeat whatever moniker Apple gives the screen like Retina Plus or some other BS thinking Apple invented it. Then there will be the revisionist historians like Myx saying all this time, OLED just wasn't good enough for Apple (what they mean is cheap) … [Read more...] about Comments for : After ‘all-screen’ iPhone 8 reports, everyone scrambling to secure OLED display supplies

SAN FRANCISCO — There is a huge, thriving underground economy involved in the theft, sale, manufacture and abuse of Apple IDs, Palo Alto Networks researcher Claud Xiao told the BSides SF hacker conference. Credit: Watchiwit/Shutterstock "The problem is, Apple IDs are used with too many services," Xiao said as he showed a slide listing 20 different Apple services accessible with an Apple ID, including the App Store, Apple Music, the Apple Online Store, iCloud, Find My iPhone, iMessage and the Mac App Store. "Every feature can be abused to make a profit."He explained that Apple IDs can be exploited to squeeze money out of almost any aspect of the Apple ecosystem, from deceiving users with spam Apple Messages, to locking users out of their devices and demanding ransom, to artificially pumping up the user ratings of dodgy apps so that they rank in the Top 10 on the App Store.Important Tip: Xiao didn't point it out, but some of the Apple … [Read more...] about Stolen Apple IDs Can Hold Your iPhone Hostage

Update your iOS device to version 9.3.5, or beware.Apple last week released a patch for three bugs that could allow hackers to remotely jailbreak iPhones and steal messages, call information, emails, logs, and more—a dangerous threat for enterprises with sensitive data. "If Apple has gone through the trouble of putting out an emergency patch, there are likely active attacks occurring within the system," said John Pironti, president of IP Architects. The patch was available 10 days after a tip from researchers, an aggressive timeline for the company, he added. "There is a heightened sense of alert on this one." Citizen Lab at the University of Toronto discovered the bugs, and alerted Apple. The group released a report last week that detailed how they uncovered the security flaws after an alert from Ahmed Mansoor, an internationally-recognized human rights defender in the United Arab Emirates. "On August 10 and 11, 2016, Mansoor received SMS text messages on his iPhone promising … [Read more...] about Update all iOS devices to 9.3.5 immediately, or risk a remote jailbreak
