The social media giant has been replaced in first place by longtime competitor YouTube, according to the latest study from the Pew Research Center. As this chart from Statista shows, Generation Z chose YouTube as the platform they use the most as of April 2018, and put it at a close second as the platform they visit most often, showing a clear shift in the social media ecosystem. In fact, YouTube's share of 13- to 17-year olds who use online platforms exceeds what Facebook's was when it was on top the last time Pew conducted this study in 2015.
