TRADING is finally coming to Pokémon Go. It's going to arrive this week alongside a new Friendship system, according to Eurogamer. Swapping Pokemon has been as integral a part of catching them all as throwing Pokeballs since the inception of Pokemon games, but it's not featured in the smash hit smartphone entry in the franchise until now. You'll need to be within 100m of your friends to trade Pokémon with them, and it'll cost you some in-game resources. The range of Pokémon you can trade goes up with your friendship level, and the cost goes down. You'll also be able to send your friends presents and get bonuses while raiding with them. One of the potential presents are a new type of egg which will be initially the only way to initially obtain some of the Alolan-region Pokémon introduced in the most recent update. The Alolan Exeggcutor was released into the wild to celebrate the announcement of the Pokémon Let's Go games, while Alolan forms of Diglett and … [Read more...] about Pokémon Go players FINALLY getting a way to trade Pokemon with their friends

TWO brand new Pokémon games are coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year – and they look amazing. The Pokémon company has revealed Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let's Go Eevee at a surprise event in Tokyo. According to Pokémon bosses, the Let's Go games are aimed at people who are new to the Pokémon series. That means they're probably hoping to capitalise on last year's hype around smash-hit mobile game Pokémon Go. But this isn't just a Pokémon Go clone – although the games are linked together. For instance, you can connect your Let's Go game to Pokémon Go over Bluetooth, and transfer your Pokémon across. And unlike traditional Pokémon games, you don't actually battle Pokémon to catch them. Instead, you bag the creatures by simply throwing a Poké Ball at them – just like Pokémon Go. That's about where the comparisons … [Read more...] about Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee games announced for Nintendo Switch with new Pokeball Plus controller
NIANTIC surprised the millions of players still hunting for monsters in Pokémon Go with the news that they will be able to catch creatures first seen on Pokemon Sun and Moon -- the most recent full mobile version of the main series -- very soon indeed. Pokemon from the Alola region were first seen in 2016 when Pokemon Sun & Moon were released, while Pokemon Go's monsters only currently feature wandering beasties from the series first three generations, which ran up to 2006. So far, Niantic has drip-fed gamers with new monsters in roughly the order they originally came out. The game first launched with the first set of Pokemon on July 2016, with the second batch following in February 2017 after a limited release in December 2016. The third batch followed a similar pattern, with the ghosts emerging as part of a seasonal halllowe'en event in 2017 before more followed in December 2017. That release is actually still going on, with at least 12 still to be released. The Sun and Moon … [Read more...] about Alola Pokémon to hit Pokémon Go much sooner than expected in summer special event
NINTENDO teased a Pokemon game for the Nintedo Switch at E3 last year, and it seems like a full reveal may be just around the corner. There has been a steady flow of unverified rumour around the game since that tease. Much recently suggesting that the game will come in two editions -- as is traditional with main Pokemon games -- which will be called Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu and Pokémon Let's Go! Eevee. Those rumours gained more credence today when web sleuths on Twitter noticed that domain-registration company CSC Corporate Domains yesterday registered pokemonletsgopikachu.com and pokemonletsgoeevee.com. While there is no official link to Nintendo, publishers will often use third parties such as CSC to pre-register domains for their games so as not to spoil their own official announcements. Nintendo themselves have used the firm in the past -- specifically before the launch of Pokemon Sun and Moon back in 2016. This comes days after a logo appeared online showing the … [Read more...] about Nintendo Switch Pokemon details ‘leak’ – and suggest link with Pokemon Go

I was poking around on Reddit a few months ago and stumbled upon a post about tattoos that can play sound via your phone. This was Skin Motion, the patent-pending augmented reality app developed by Nate Siggard that generates real-time sonic playback from your tattoo, a system it calls Soundwave.
