Google Chrome is the most popular browser in the world and that too by some distance. Latest figures suggest that Chrome’s market share stands at more than 67% whereas the others — Firefox, Internet Explorer, Edge — are in second, third and fourth spot respectively. Still, others are trying to cut the gap, especially Microsoft with its Edge browser, which is now based on the same Chromium platform as Chrome. Perhaps that’s why Google is ‘warning’ Edge users. According to a report by 9to5Google, Microsoft Edge users who are trying to download Chrome extensions are getting a warning by Google.
