Recently my computer has been very slow for a while after startup. When I launch the task manager, I am at or near 100% disk usage for about 20 minutes. However it looks like there is not much read / write traffic. Any ideas what the issue could be? HDD is a 2TB Seagate ST2000DM001. Intel 6700K with 24GB of RAM. 1) It can happen over time and very quickly. I do IT Work and I will take my bosses laptop hard drive for example. It had 1 pending sector count. We started to clone. It failed a few times but evently we got it to go. Now at the end it had 22 pending sector counts. I also had a Seagate 1.5 TB long ago. it had a few thousand RaSC. I have a Dell Poweredge R710 raid 5 (5 disk array) with the PERC H700 raid card. For some reason, I am overloading my drives while doing NZB data transfers.
