A STUDIO flat with a washing machine, kitchen and toilet UNDER the bed has gone on the market for £754 a month – and some say it looks worse than a prison cell. Agents for the north London apartment boast of a ‘mezzanine sleeping area’ – leading incredulous Twitter users to find the funny side. The flat features a kitchenette, shower, toilet, washing machine, sofa and bed – all in one small room. In order to save space, many key features have been fitted below the bed, which stands several feet above the floor. The new occupier will need to get into the bunk each day via a ladder. But the tiny room comes with a hefty price tag – as it lies ‘moments’ from Mornington Crescent Station. It’s also close to a number of desirable areas, including Camden Market and St Pancras Station, where Eurostar trains to Paris depart. The cost of the flat doesn’t include bills, with Zoopla estimating the total monthly running of the flat will be £831. Social media users reacted with shock after the listing went viral on Twitter, with some comparing the tiny flat to a “prison”. Others have hailed the “clever use of space”.One… Read full this story
