Pakistan Summons Indian Diplomat After India Uses Anti-Tank Guided Missiles in Cross-Border Firing

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said Director General Dr Mohammad Faisal summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia to condemn “continuous ceasefire violations by India at Hot Spring Chirikot sectors of LoC that resulted in the killing of two elderly civilians and injuring one kid". Earlier in the day, the Pakistan Army's media wing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the Indian Army “targeted civil population with mortars and Anti-Tank Guided Missiles in Hot Spring Sector along LOC”. The Pakistani military also claimed to have killed two Indian soldiers and injured many others in retaliatory firing. “Reportedly two Indian army soldiers killed and many injured as Pakistan Army engaged posts from where fire was directed”, an official statement said. Pakistan has urged India to "instruct its forces to respect the ceasefire, in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC and the Working Boundary". Last week, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry summoned an Indian diplomat three times after massive firing along the border that killed more than 10 people including soldiers from both sides.
