A former BBC Radio 6 presenter has died after being hit by a train just months after giving birth to her second child. Journalist Kelly Jobanputra, 40, from Swindon, Wiltshire, left home on Friday afternoon to go shopping but never returned. The mother-of-two was killed after being struck on the line between Swindon and Didcot Parkway at around 3pm on Friday, 26 April. Her devastated family, who formally identified her remains earlier this week, have spoken of their heartbreak and told of how this is the second tragic death they have suffered, TheMirror reports. Kelly’s father John Stooke said in a statement: ‘We are completely and utterly bereft to lose such a vibrant, attractive, courageous and well-loved family member at such a very young age. ‘She was in good spirits when she left at lunchtime to go to Asda.
