Inside Cadillac’s future: New sport sedans, SUVs

That happy fact got lost in the confusion as automakers and customers put more emphasis on SUVs, but it’s true, and the first proof will be on the road about a year from now when an all-new car called the CT5 replaces the current CTS. Cadillac’s high-profile announcement that it will relocate its HQ from New York to the Detroit area this week is trivial; a pair of clerks fighting for the best cubicle. The fleet of new cars and SUVs coming over the next three to four years is vital to Cadillac and General Motors, the payoff of years of work and billions of dollars. Nearly 20 years into Cadillac’s comeback campaign, it’s time to get the vehicles 100 percent right. No excuses.
