Nvidia has released its GeForce Game Ready 378.92 WHQL drivers just ahead of the launch of Mass Effect: Andromeda. For would be Andromeda adventurers the new drivers are recommended for performance and for the added Nvidia Ansel screenshot support.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is the highly anticipated fourth outing for the Mass Effect franchise. This latest instalment takes action-RPG story-led sci-fi gameplay fans several hundred years ahead of the events that unfolded in the original trilogy – and the best experience will be on the PC, of course.
Nvidia crows that the action in the PC version of Andromeda boasts “higher-fidelity effects, higher framerates, and support for higher resolutions”. Indeed Mass Effect Andromeda on PC has support for 4K gameplay and vibrant scenes enhanced by HDR colour. With the latest game ready driver gamers should enjoy an optimal experience in their RPG passage.
Those who enjoy taking screenshots might especially welcome the new driver. With Ansel support for Andromeda you can ‘snap’ plenty of great alien scenes as the picture above testifies (there’s more on the Nvidia GeForce blog).
The recommended hardware spec for gameplay at 1080p includes an Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD FX 8350 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, or GeForce GTX 970. Higher resolutions are playable with faster GPUs and SLI configurations (thanks to the new SLI profile).
Mass Effect: Andromeda launches on 21st March in USA, and 23rd March in Europe.

Rock Band VR (Oculus Rift ) will allow you to take to the virtual stage from 23rd March and this driver is game ready for it. In this musical VR game you can play your guitar controller, and possibly other instruments, in a live concert in front of virtually thousands of your NPC fans. Check out the video below.
